Course Outline

The Greenshoots programme encourages students to engage with green spaces on campus for both the benefit of students' wellbeing and the environment they are a part of. The Greenshoots programme aims to increase the number of students using campus green spaces to improve their wellbeing. The programme also aims to increase the number of students who adopt and champion pro-environmental behaviours. We want to see our students highlighting issues such as:
  • sustainable food production,
  • biodiversity conservation and
  • holistic solutions to environmental problems
The programme also offers paid internships to students each year, called Changemakers. This student-led component empowers students to take tangible actions in their communities to foster a culture of nature connection, and combat environmental crises, through an intersectional lens. Registered changemakers  will be supported by the Greenshoots team to realise their ambitions for a better world and gain an Employagility Award in the process.
