Course Outline


This course aims to introduce students to the sociological perspective on education, helping them to understand the connections between education and the cultural, ideological, economic, and labor spheres, as well as its interrelation with structures of inequality and social stratification. The sociology of education allows for the observation, analysis, and understanding of the educational phenomenon from a holistic perspective, enabling students to identify the causes, effects, processes, and trends of change in society and educational institutions.
