The History of Industrial Relations course examines the relationships that exist between economic, social and political development and industrial relations over time and within the context of contemporary society. This content contributes to the training of future professionals who will develop their activity in an increasingly complex and open society. The general objectives of the subject are the following: To analyse and understand the central characteristics and problems of industrial relations throughout contemporary history. To study the relationship between economic, social and political development and industrial relations in the context of contemporary society. To recognise the rights and freedoms of workers and trade unions as an inalienable achievement of workers and as a necessary condition for social coexistence
