Pantelis Kostis

Pantelis C. Kostis is an Assistant Professor of Economic Development in the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), in Greece. He obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. (with distinction) from the Department of Economics of the NKUA. He also completed his post-doctoral research in the Department of Economics of the NKUA. He has taught many courses as an adjunct lecturer of Economics at the same department and the Departments of Business Administration, and Public Administration of the Hellenic Open University. Previously, he was also Visiting Professor at the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management of the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak in India. He is also teaching in Postgraduate Programmes at the University of Athens and is an instructor in distance learning programmes at the University of Athens.
His research has been published in distinguished international academic journals, including the Technological Forecasting and Social Change, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Comparative Economics, Economic Modelling, and the Journal of Socio-Economics. He also authorizes several books on economic development and growth and the European and Greek economies published by Palgrave MacMillan, Springer, IGI Global, and IntechOpen. He has also contributed to many Edited Volumes with book chapters and has participated in several international scientific conferences and research programs. His research interests include economic development and growth, economic policy, the role of institutions in the economy, and cultural economics.
He is Editor of the Palgrave MacMillan book series "Palgrave Studies in the Future of the European Economies and Societies". He also serves as Senior Associate Editor of the "Journal of the Knowledge Economy," the "Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship" and the "International Journal of Social Ecology and Sustainable Development" and as Guest Editor for Special Issues of several journals.
